The question wasn't why, it was "where on earth", and
the answer is USA :-)

The way I look at it is people in USA have a
ClarinetFest pretty much every year. As far as I know,
you also have other clarinet events with exhibitors in
different places in the USA. So one time the Fest is
in Vancouver. Big %$#*@-----.

It seems Candadian tax laws give some problems to
Americans who want to sell things in the Fest. Last I
heard Canada has the highest life quality on average,
but I guess there must be something wrong with their
laws.... In some countries taxes are even much worse.
So big %$#*@-----.

I thought the I in initials stands for International.
One time the Fest is on some USA holiday. If I had
ClarinetFest almost every year in my country (plus
other clarinet events with performances and
exhibitors), and one time the Fest, which is produced
by an International organization, was in a different
country, I would not dare to have the arogance to
complain about it happening at the same time as a
holiday in MY country. In fact, If that happened (Fest
happened the same time as a holiday) I would not
complain about it regardless of all the above. So
again, big %$#*@-----.

This is the equivilent of a millionare losing one
cent.

Of course this is just my opinion....

Best wishes,

Nitai
