I am still looking at the Clarinetfest stuff, but it looks like a very bad
deal for the exhibitors. I don't know if it is general knowledge or not, but
for those of us who do exhibit, we rarely make any money. We feel that if we
break even with expenses, then it is worth while for the exposure and the
personal contacts that are made. With the duties levied by Canadian Customs, for
bringing salable items into the country it looks financially impossible for
US vendors to exhibit.

Notwithstanding the issues involved in ClarinetFest, I really do encourage
people to consider the University of Oklahoma Symposium. I have developed a
real affinity for the group of people who are "regulars" there and really have a
good time when I am there. It is intimate, collegial, and lots of fun.

This year I volunteered to be a webmaster, and to help get a webpage up and
running with information relating to the Symposium. Here it is
_www.ouclarinetsymposium.org_ (http://www.ouclarinetsymposium.org)

It is SURELY not the most professional website ever created, but all the
information is there and you can download all the information and registration
information directly.

Please take a look.
