Chane Smith asks for pointers on the Concertino.

On the rising scales at the end, you probably feel tense, and also
about getting through the fast notes. Be sure your jaw is relaxed,
and take a deep but not strained breath. Let the air drop all the way
down to your hips, and expand your abdomen on the sides and in back as
well as in front.

Take plenty of time on the first note of each run and accelerate
gradually. This gives you time to pay attention to keeping the sound
going.

There are several good resources on the Concertino. The famous
teacher Daniel Bonade wrote a master class, published many years ago
in The Clarinet magazine, Vol. 22 # 4, pp. 6-8. If you join the
International Clarinet Association <http://www.clarinet.org/> you can
get a copy. Also, you can probably find a copy by asking on the
Clarinet board <http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/list.html?f=1>
.

Also, Alan Siegel has published a book titled Clarinet Master Class,
available at <http://www.vcisinc.com/clarinetmusicmasterclasses.htm>
item C016.

Finally, I wrote a long posting on the Concertino, which is on line at
<http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?f=20&i=270&t=259>
