Recently I played again the Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by =
Mendelssohn.

I wondered however: did Mendelssohn really write it, or is it ascribed =
to him? And was it written originally for clarinet or is it a =
transcription from a sonata for some other instrument?

There is a ot of knowledge on this list, maybe someone knows?
