The Eastman Wind Ensemble sometimes has/had two on a part; other times not.
Personally, I don't like playing in an ensemble with more than 8 (Eb, 6 Bb,
alto & bass). Much of the time I don't like that many.

The Sousa Band were the rock stars of their day - perhaps the highest-paid
musicians in the United States at the time. Maybe I could deal with that.
