Dear list members,

Apologies for the accidental posting of a private message to the whole
group. Now that I've been brought out of the lurking mode, I should
probably introduce myself.
I'm an amateur player from central Finland, mostly self taught apart
from a couple of crucial lessons at the very beginning. I've studied
the clarinet for about six years, after ten years of adolescent
electric guitar. I'm mostly interested in free improvisation, although
my practice regime probably follows the classical scheme of things
(scales, long tones, studies, technical exercises).
Needless to say, this group has been a most rewarding read. I have
repeatedly perused the archives for answers to all kinds of problems an
instrumental autodidact is bound to meet. My humble thanks to all the
contributors.
And back to lurking mode for the time being.

Best wishes,
Jari Kaukua
