Yes, I agree. I was looking for a moment to introduce the links, and your
post gave it; but it wasn't necessary. Sorry to have walked over your point.

A similar confusion occurs in the Copland concerto, with the instruction,
'plainly'. Players whose native tongue isn't English almost invariably get
this wrong, thinking it means, 'flat'.

I'll soon make a lengthier post about the other matter -- namely, this
ridiculous ongoing bright/dark issue. It's about time that was cleared up.
