I want to thank all the responders regarding my intonation woes on my
Patricola Eb.
I found the relative humidity in my music room was 35%, so I will start
humidifying my case with orange peels or a sponge.

With a concert coming up in 2 days, I spent most of the afternoon trying to
figure out the complicated key arrangement on the instrument.
It turns out that my swabbing the bore had slowly worked the register tube
out just a bit, which lowered the register key, which opened another tone
hole that is supposed to stay closed for the throat tones. I pushed in the
register tube by hand, and the problem disappeared.

So I need to be careful in winter to humidify properly, and I need to swab
more carefully.

Thanks again to all.

Howard
