Personally, my hands go up for the Yanagisawa 9930-T, my own personal Tenor
Sax, but I guess I am somewhat prejudiced, it is a beautiful Saxophone,
highly priced, but I think well worth it. The craftwork and artistry
performed to make this instrument a beauty to behold, as well as to hold and
perform makes it a shear work of art. Again, I guess I am just a little too
prejudiced.

I should have purchased Yamaha clarinets too, instead of Buffets if I was
truly dedicated to the Japanese style of creating finely crafted
instruments. However, there too go the Germans. Oh well, hindsight as they
say...

Subject: [kl] Tenor Saxophone Question

Good evening everyone!

First of all, introductions: my name is Paul Jewell, and I am an amateur
clarinet player based in the UK. I have been playing for about 6 years,
and enjoy playing in small groups for pleasure and occasional fund
raising for charity.

I apologise for asking a question about saxophones in the klarinet list,
but having lurked for several weeks, it appears that many of you are
knowledgeable in both areas.

Anyway, here are the questions - What is the considered opinion on the
Selmer Bundy Tenor Saxophone? Would it be suitable for a
beginner/intermediate saxophone player? The other instrument I have seen
is a Boosey and Hawkes 400 tenor. Any views on this one?

Thanks,
Paul
