So I made it to Dallas for the opera, despite being diverted to Houston, and
indeed it was all that Forest claimed. The soloists, chorus and orchestra
were splendid. The prelude to Act 3 was outstandingly exciting and the
precision of the brass on the critical, cracking sixteenth notes was
brilliant. And yes, I LOVED those 8 foot trumpets!

For those of you in the Dallas, Tx area...

The final performance of this Dallas Opera season will take place at Fair
Park, Music Hall at 7 PM this coming Saturday evening, February 24th.

The cast is great and the orchestra does a good job at "getting Else to the
Cathedral"...

This is one "long song"....but well worth it. Hope to see some of you at the
intermissions.
