Gosh, thanks ever so much for reminding me about these. I found out
about them after hearing the recording of the Saint-Saëns sonata on BBC
Radio 3. It was the first (and only) time I'd heard Kell's playing and
I thought it an absolutely remarkable performance. I can imagine that
his approach wouldn't suit every piece but the life and humour in this
particular performance had me absolutely dazzled.

The CD set has been sitting on my Amazon wish-list for ages and I really
should get round to buying it.
