A few years ago, a friend who studied with Kell, had me overhaul a clarinet
which she purchased from Kell. It was a Boosey & Hawkes (pro level). I was
facinated by the quality and excellent design of the instrument. I have seen
very few contemporary Buffets or Leblancs which come even close to the level
of this early B & H. I believe that Kell played exclusively on B & H if my
