To be fair, it depends on what you mean by "resistance to change." I own both programs and actually like the design and capabilities of Sibelius. But I'd been using Finale for many years before Sibelius became available, and I still find that especially for complex scores I'm just too used to Finale and too unused to Sibelius to be as efficient with Sibelius. For time-critical projects I usually don't have time to devote to an unlearn/relearn process. Their interfaces are different enough to make the switch problematic and with little or no difference in their output capabilities many of us who already use Finale find the switch more trouble than it's worth.
