It doesn't take months to receive a passport....

Normal mail and process may take up to a month. It's easy and not too
expensive to expedite the process...(can you say overnight)...
If you live in one of the cities in the U.S. with the ability to issue
passports...you can stand in line with the proper documents and photos and
get it done in a day.
