Thomas Friedli and I made a recording of this for Claves in the 1980s (he
played it, I conducted the ECO), and though we had orchestral parts there was
never a score -- I had to make do with a piano reduction. There were a
considerable number of errors in the material which we had to correct on the
fly, using our collective judgement.
Faced with the same problem today, we would probably produce a score on a
computer before starting work -- though I have to say that 'parallel
debugging' with talented players can be quite efficient;-)
If you contact Thomas by some means (I have only an out-of-date number) he
may be able to help with the material, at any rate, supposing the NML doesn't
have it. Anyone here have a contact number?
