Hi Amanda,

In the Rondo, I would suggest cutting measures 31 to 121 and then cutting
253 to 341.

What you will have to do is the following:

- Play from the beginning to the 1st beat of measure 31.
- At measure 31, pianist should cut immediately to the orchestral tutti at
measure 121.
- Instruct pianist to cut between measures 121 and 137 as desired.
- You re-enter after orchestral tutti at measure 137 (i.e. the pickup to
measure 138)
- Play from the pickup to measure 138 to the end of measure 253
- Cut immediately from measure 253 to measure 341
- Play from measure 341 to the end.

This leaves about 4:00 minutes of music depending, of course, on the cuts
the pianist makes between 121 and 137 and how fast you play it. These cuts
preserve many of the themes in the Rondo without sacrificing structure or
entirely skipping the middle section.

If I time it according to Martin Frost's recording without any cuts between
121 and 137, then this is 4:10 minutes of music in the Rondo, so you would
at least need to play it at that tempo.

The time markers were:
0:00 to 0:42 (measures 1 to 31)
2:49 to 6:00 (measures 121 to 253)
8:00 to 8:17 (measures 341 to the end)

Hope this helps,
Bryan
