I own a Buffet Prestige alto clarinet and it is a wonderful instrument.
I bought it primarily for use in a clarinet quartet although I have
occasionally used it in concert band.

The band arrangement of the Theme from Schindler's List (for clarinet,
flute, or violin solo) is one contemporary piece that has a very nice
alto clarinet part.
