I spent a minute checking Stephen Fox website for the
price of a new one. It's about $8,000 US for the open
hole model. I doubt a closed holes model is $2,500 US
more (or maybe it is?). Some people don't care for or
about gold plating (and some even think it's quite
ridiculous!) so a new closed holes silver plated one
is probably less expensive than your price. So in
exchange for the waiting time someone can get a new
one with probably some specifications made especially
and a warrenty. This is just something that (in the
very slim chance someone who might be interested in
this basset horn noticed the eBay auction) would
still, maybe, cause them not to buy it.
