Thanks, Tim and Jeff! I had an idea what it was, but didn't want to get
embroiled in a dispute over legal technicalities, Ha. At anyrate, for those
of us who still wish to patronize these merchants perhaps they'll survive
this mess. John, I think most of the list members understand your position
and as has already been stated very few businesses get it right every time.
I spent a great deal on a Big Easy with the fancy gold plated keys which
developed a crack eventually. I tried to get the company in question to
replace the cracked joint, but due to the time factor involved they wouldn't
help at all. Naturally, I wasn't very happy about the situation, but I
understood their position and continued to do business with them. As
Sinatra used to sing, "That's Life". Trying to analyze their business
faults and suggesting unethical practices are to blame leaves you open to
challenges from those who may have more insight into the actual causes. I'm
sure no one on this list wants to hurt or insult you, but you might try to
avoid such inflammatory comments in the future. They really don't lead to a
very satisfactory conclusion for anyone. Well, enough of this...back to my
practicing...I have a Christmas musical with a lot of bass clarinet to
polish up. Hope everyone has a great Holiday Season!
Jerry
