A parent might end the child's lessons out of schedule frustration. I am a
widower with three kids at home and another in college. All play or want to
play, and all could benefit from, and would enjoy, music lessons. But I
have no time to take the 5 year old to violin school, nor the 12 and 17 to
trombone and cornet lessons. It makes my life easier that they don't have
lessons, as much as I wish that they could.
