When at school, I started to learn the clarinet, only to give it up after a=
year or so, because I had limited time and wanted to spend that time train=
ing on the athletics field. Two years later I had a serious injury that sto=
pped my athletics career.=0A=0Athirty years later, I took up the clarinet a=
gain and and am getting more enjoyment than ever from it, but oh how I wish=
I had stuck with it at school and have had all those years of enjoyment in=
playing. Plus I am sure my fingers (and brain) would have been more supple=
and I could have got into those passages and runs that now I am finding so=
