But Margaret, you said that you didn't care for the way she did
the cadenza in the last movement. There is no cadenza in the
last movement. What on earth did she do to make you think that
it was a cadenza? Was it the length?

I think what you are referring to is the Eingang that immediately
precedes the final Allegro variation. If what she played was more
than 10 seconds, maybe 15, it was excessive, and if she did
anything except head towards the tonic using 5/7 chord harmony,
then she needs a lesson in what an Eingang is.

As I said, she is a great player with a big hole in her knowledge
base.
