I did not say the system was PERFECT. But in all but a tiny handful of
cases the electors have done what they were supposed to do. The actual
process of having electors vote, vs. simply totalling the numbers after the
voting is done and declaring a winner, is now somewhat anachronistic, but
what the heck.
