NO ONE can explain the American electoral college. It exists in a
spirit world beyond the realm of human comprehension.

In defense of our legislature, I should point out that our congress
almost never approaches the raucous atmosphere one often finds in the
British Parliament. I have been impressed many times when I've caught
Parliamentary sessions on C-SPAN and observed that they have all of the
gravity and decorum of a Comedy Central celebrity roast.

"The arguments of my distinguished colleague from Leeds would perhaps
garner more respect if he did not quack like a duck and dribble putrid
nonsense from his mouth."
