A little heat to soften the glue (alcohol lamp best), then scrape. If you
use the same sort of glue to replace the pad, a little left over in the cup
is of no concern. It will melt in when you float the pad. We usually melt
the glue sticks (we get them from Ferree's) over a flame just like you
would a shellac stick. For sax pads, the head tech has a glue gun.
