Arthur Fickenscher was born Aurora, Il in 1871; Composer, pianist,
inventor.
He studied in Munich under Rheinberger and others I guess. Apparently,

invented a keyboard with 60 notes to the octave. He toured a fair bit
with the
mezzo Ernestine Schumann-Heink Head of Music at the University of
Virginia. =20

It was definitely Fickenshir that Grainger liked. Franckenpohl I new.
Mind you, I'm not sure of the spelling.

Frackenpohl, Arthur Roland, 1924-

I know nothing by him, other than the name.
