Posting seems to be difficult while I'm on my laptop at a festival, but
I'll try again:
Joze,
I cannot recommend John Adams's "Gnarly Buttons" highly enough. It is, I
feel, the greatest clarinet concerto since the Nielsen (and btw, I love the
Copland). It's for string quintet (or orchestra), English Horn, Bassoon,
Trombone, Guitar/Mandolin/Banjo, Piano, and Synthesiser (sp?). It's about
25 minutes long. You can listen to a recent performance I gave at
http://www.osbornmusic.com/recordings.html
See you in April!
Sean
