Not to be a party-pooper, but most school owned bass clarinets are in
terrible, banged up shape. You might want to look elsewhere for an instrument that
at least seals and has all its parts.

(I do some tech work for the local high schools, and I am amazed at how
badly the bass clarinets are treated - even at the ritzy schools).
