I attended a performance of the Bernstein last winter
by the Brooklyn Philharmonic - Steve Hartmann played
clarinet.

Maybe he'll provide the instrumentation. But, aside
from double bass, as I recall, there were no strings
(unless you consider piano a string). The band was
basically a hyper big band (Kenton-esque).

Very fun music, and well played by the Brooklynites.
