I am sure a great majority of people can hear if two people play the same
pitch simultaneously, and are ten cents apart. Heck, my middle school students
and their Moms can hear that.

Of course nobody plays perfectly in tune. The thing to do is to make your
pitch acceptable in the context in which you play.
