You don't have "to copyright" something, you gain copyright
automatically as a creator (although it may be worth registering that
copyright in order to help protect it). If Kilford Neely wrote the
pieces, the copyright belongs to him (or his estate), unless he did
something to sign it away. The age of the piece is not relevant: it's
the period of time since the composer's death that matters.
