I'm sure that what he meant was that he IS willing to pay $2000, but not
over $2600 for EXACTLY THE SAME INSTRUMENT, when comparable alternatives
exist for less. My boss is seriously considering dropping the line, since
he WAS able to compete with the big boys by offering a lower price, but not
any more. Now, the mail order/internet places have the upper hand, since
they do not have to charge sales tax.
