I looked at the Oboe 'Genealogy' chart and noticed right off the bat the
omission of three very important oboists. To me, though, the real question
is: which teacher is one's 'real' teacher. I've had six private teachers
(not counting two with whom I had fewer than four lessons) so here's the
list of my 'Grand-Teachers:' Daniel Bonade, Joseph Sinischalchi, Keith
Stein, Joseph Allard, Prosper Mimart, David Karpilovsky, Simeon Bellison,
Ralph McLane. I'm sure I've omitted a few and I apologize for any
mis-spellings. This information would make for a very large and complex
chart!
