David

I know what I am going to write now will sound gruesome to our friend Dan
Leeson, but as a Dutch sociologist once said: "When I meet a fact, I take
off my hat".

I have played many years in a wind quintett: flute, oboe, clarinet (me),
bassoon and ENGLISH horn (in F). (This is a fact, and, Dan, I am not ashamed
of it. I still think wind quintetts are the most beautifull genre to play
[or listen to], when you're a clarinettist, but at the same time I am aware
this is a personal taste. And if you are looking for people to play
quintetts with, and find no horns are available you take the next-best
solution!)

The quintett doesn't exist anymore, but I still have occasionally contact
with the "horn" player, and she recently said she would lik to play duets
with me, if we would be able to find duets for either clarinet and oboe (at
need: flute) or alto oboe. I never thought of Beethoven, although I have
been looking for someone to play them in the cast clarinet-claribass.

Maybe your arrangement for clarinet and bassethorn is or can be usefull for
us? If so: I'd prefer the .mus file, as I have finale, and .mus files are
much more readable then .pdf files.

TIA

Rien
