I don't know about the YCL-24 Sterling (made for distribution in Great
Britain, perhaps?), but the YCL-24 II was manufactured in the US by
Leblanc. It was, in effect, a stencil plastic Vito. The keywork was
sculpted differently, but the bodies themselves were
interchangeable. Leblanc, of course, also made Yamaha's plastic bass
clarinets for many years, and Yamaha produced some brass instruments for
Leblanc to sell under the Holton name, as well as Vito saxophones.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
