Last night I attended a talk of Mozart's wind music given as part
of the events of Music at Menlo (meaning Menlo school in Menlo
Park, CA). And there was a live performance of the slow movement
of the E-flat octet, K. 375 with clarinetists Anthony McGill (of
the Met opera) and Cary Bell (of the SF opera). Splendid playing
and the other musicians were equally expert, especially the
oboist Allen Vogel.
