Dear Sarah,
With respect, I must agree with Walter on this point. Clarinets are a
bargain compared to other woodwinds. I own four different sizes of Saxophones,
three sizes of oboes, four sizes of flutes and five sizes of clarinets. To
replace these: Saxes, about $21,000; oboes, about $23,000; flutes, about $27,000;
clarinets, about $17,000 (for five). Fortunately, I don't play the bassoon. I
will not be posting my address!!
