I have been reading with interest the recent correspondence on
"Buffet Pricefixing" in the USA.
In the UK during the 60's it was almost impossible to buy a Buffet
clarinet. It was my impression that dealers "froze out" the Buffet
brand because they did not like some elements of Buffet's marketing
strategy. There was quite an interest in the brand at the time and
this was reflected in sales when the policy changed.
I wonder if anyone out there remembers the details of this.
