kl] COMMERCIAL MESSAGE: Buffet Sets Minimum Standard Price for All Dealers

I recently have received a number of questions regarding changes Buffet has
made to their pricing policy of Buffet clarinets. Effective Tuesday, Aug
1st,
2006 Buffet has a new requirement of dealers and how they price product.
They have instituted Minimum Selling Price. That means that every dealer is
required to sell no lower then, but certainly can sell anywhere above what
Buffet
has set as Minimum Selling Price.

It is of course illegal for Buffet to dictate the price a dealer sells
their
products for and in essence "set price". However it is legal for Buffet to
choose to set a Minimum Selling Price which allows dealer to sell at
whatever
price at or above MSP they like.

So how is that not considered "Price Fixing"??
