Would that it were the case that all publishers keep careful archive
copies of all the music they have let fallen out of print. My
favorite <ahem> experiences are trying to convince publishers that,
yes, they did actually publish a certain piece of music at one point.
Mercifully, in our day and age of print on demand, this should become
much less of a problem, but I have the utmost empathy for anyone
trying to find semi-obscure music publications from pre-1980.
