As pointed out, it's common for the clarinettists to double, as they did at
the Met. The scoring for Salome is as follows: Two A clarinets (usually
done by first and second), Two Bb Clarinets (the second Bb doesn't play for
quite a while), Eb Clarinet, and Bass. There is a reduced orchestration
for two A players to double Bb for a short while, plus Eb and Bass, making
for a section of four.

Elektra: Eb, Four Bb, two Basset Horns, Bass.

All three operas are great!
