There are operas (such as Strauss' Elektra) that use 8 clarinet players.
Since their program contains the details of every opera they perform that
season, they list all of the players who will execute for that season, which
in this case, is six players.

I'm not meaning to sound naive hear, but how many clarinets does MF use? I
thought it just had the standard 2 Bb's?
