As an amateur with klutzy fingers I had trouble hanging on to my
clarinet and purchased a Kooiman Etude thumbrest. It worked well, so I
purchased two more, one for my spare clarinet and one for a backup. Two
of the three thumbrests broke over time and I sent a note to Kooiman
explaining my problem. He responded quickly with the admission that
there had been some breakage issues with the product and that the
manufacture had been improved. Without further discussion he offered to
send replacements and within a few days I had replacements for all three
thumbrests. I was impressed with the high level of service exhibited by
Ton Kooiman, and just thought that such service deserves note.
