Today is my 74th birthday, and
since I began playing at the age of 10, that makes 64 years of
clarinet playing.

Dear Dan

I agree with the first part of Walers statement. It must be very impressive,
to be part of an ensemble performing Mozart that you participate with. But
at the same time it must be very frustrating to the person leading the
session: from what I deduce from the klarinet list and from personal
experience (distantly) you are not an easy, simply to pass by person.I can
imagine your omments will not always be in line with his/her visions! But
than again I think (or hope?) you are professionally enough to follow
his/her instructions!

But I will join in in his congratulations as to your birthday. I hope we
will still for many years be able to judge your very well-based and
scholarly arguments. Personnally I consider you one of the few major Mozart
experts in this world. Have a happy birthday

Ciao

Rien
