Thank you David!!

I truly believe that so little attention is given to reed making for the
clarinet that the focus put on some of the extended "conversations" regarding
the minutia about pitch and fingerings, etc., could be better spent on making
reeds. Often a person's response to the resident reed causes the problem.
Once a clarinetist has the ability to make a reed, he probably also has the
ability to fix a decent stock reed to get it to play well and last a long time.
I've had some Glotin 4s and 5s that have lasted up to a year -- get put away
and then resurrected to play again (on my Blayman H107 mouthpiece that is
really closed).

Besides, it's fun to do. One must have some patience, tho.
