I premiered this piece at the University of Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium on
Friday, June 16.

"Fantasy on Four, for Bass Clarinet in Bb and Piano. (2006) An exciting new
piece for bass clarinet. Modern, but approachable, with some interesting
melodic and rhythmic elements. Based on a sequence of four chords, which are
derived from the 12 notes of the chromatic scale and treated serially, with a
bass line forming a whole tone scale."

The piece is fun to perform. Unabashedly tonal, it has alternating sensitive
and quirky/humerous moments. Only moderate difficulty.
