when the Berlin played at Carnegie Hall this past
January, they omitted the measure

I haven't heard their recording that came out at about
the same time, but I assume they do the same (would be
strange if they didn't)

Your "almost certainly" was translated into German as
"possibly"

but, "almost certainly" contains some abiguity too
that the German may not allow "fast bestimmt" (?) -
it's actually a bit of an oxymoron
