Mark, Karl, all,

I was also about to post about the Saxrax stands.
The ones listed above are not designed for playing from the stand, the heights just
might be more convenient to pick the instrument up/put it down when sitting or standing.
But their newer adjustable height stand is advertised (by others) as being suitable for
playing from the stand.

However, particularly in a doubling situation where you need to have the instrument at
least partly out of the way to play other instruments, I don't know what sort of
twisting/bending would be required to play it off such a stand - it still looks to me
like a regular non-playing stand, which happens to be at the right height, rather than
the Jiffy type baritone stands which are designed for playing off.

But if anyone wants to buy one to try this, at least they should end up with a really
good regular sax stand! I already use the non-adjustable type.

Hopefully between this and the harness type supports, there is something which will
work for Karl.

Cheers,
Bernie
