Fred has already given his answer, but for what it's worth, "Ebony and
Ivory" is the name of a song by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. The
lyrics ask why if black and white sit side by side in perfect harmony on
the piano keyboard, "Why can't we?".

Then there was the one I remember singing in school as a very small kid,
which went,

"The ink is black,
The page is white,
Together we learn to read and write,
To read and write."
