For comparison, what about Alan Hacker's edition of the Mozart Concerto?
In this he sets out to reconstruct the basset text, but at the same
time provides a revised standard clarinet text that attempts to come
closer to the basset clarinet performance. He also makes extensive
additions to the dynamics, articulations, etc. I can't remember exactly
what his comments were in the introduction but the impression is of a
deliberate attempt to create a "performance score" for young students
who may not have detailed knowledge of classical style, etc. Of course,
he's quite open about the fact that this is deliberately *not* a
scholarly or "as-close-to-Ur-as-it-gets" text.

What are your thoughts?
